The Leeds Grammar School Explorer Unit, for students in years 11-13, is closely linked to the scout group. It has 49 members. A programme of stimulating activities is organised by the Unit Executive. The unit joins the Troop for summer camp and holds a triannual expedition, most recently to Norway. Last year 23 members of the Unit gained the Chief Scout's Gold Award and 2 Queen's Award.
